'Fashion icons': Cheesecake Factory compares Travis Kelce's Buffalo outfit to takeout bag
View Date:2024-12-24 04:28:04
Travis Kelce took his outfit to go.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end wore an outfit with a familiar color scheme on Saturday while arriving in Buffalo, New York for Sunday's game against the Bills. Kelce's mustard blazer and pants, burgundy beanie and striped turtle-neck bared a uncanny resemblance to a Cheesecake Factory takeout bag, the company observed.
Kelce strutted the look in a slow-motion video shared by the Chiefs' X (formerly Twitter) account captioned "Beanie szn."
The Cheesecake Factory did not hesitate to get in on the fun. The restaurant chain shared a side-by-side comparison of Kelce's outfit and their bag design with the caption: "😎Fashion Icons."
The post, which had more than half a million views by Monday morning, had fans rolling.
"This is incredible!! 10 out of 10!!! No notes," one said. And another: "Well played, social team!"
Not everyone was here for the outfit, though. "One is bad enough, but I can't believe there are two things with that ugly pattern and colors," posted one X user.
Cheesecake Factory spokesperson Donald Evans said in a statement that the company likes to "have fun inserting our iconic take-out bag, our famous 'brown bread' and our legendary cheesecake into the online conversation."
The company has "loved seeing our fans’ reaction to our social posts Sunday," he said.

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce also joined on the roast of his brother's look.
"Looks like he’s auditioning for a new Wes Anderson film," Jason Kelce wrote in a post on X, sharing the video of the outfit.
Cheesecake Factory replied to Jason's post, writing "Swag and SERVE."
Chiefs set to play Ravens in the AFC Championship game
Travis Kelce and his teammates will soon head to Baltimore to play against the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Jan. 28.
The Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in a taxing battle that came down to the wire in a tight 27-24 victory. The Ravens earned their AFC Championship spot after a 34-10 win against the Houston Texans.
Whoever prevails will waltz into Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11 and compete against the winner of Sunday's Detroit Lions versus San Francisco 49ers game.
